My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*Name: Hopps

*Age: 1.5 years old

*Current Weight: 46 pounds

*Rescued from: TN

*Adoption fee: $475

*Health: Up to date on vaccines, neutered & microchipped

*Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older, fenced in yard.

Hopps is a loving and energetic 1-year-old Husky/lab mix who adores people. He is always ready for some belly rubs and enjoys going on adventures with his humans, whether it's a trip to Starbucks or a long hike. He is well-behaved and knows basic commands like sit, stay, down, paw! Hopps is quite the foodie and has some interesting taste preferences. He enjoys munching on green beans and frozen blueberries. With his boundless energy, Hopps would thrive in a home with a big backyard where he can run around and chase his beloved tennis ball. He prefers to be the only dog and would appreciate all the attention and love. While Hopps loves children and is great with them, he has a special affinity for cats and is always up for a play session with them. If you're looking for a friendly and playful companion who can keep up with your adventures, Hopps might be the perfect fit for you!

FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING

All adoption fees are non-refundable

If paying by credit card, Venmo, or PayPal there is a set processing fee, generally this fee is under $15 per pet. These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals.

Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing:

LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records.

SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. **

MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors.

APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application.

More about this rescue

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
