My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MATILDA

Specifics:
~ 6 year old Labrador/Jindo girl
~ Medium energy level, enjoys walks and playtime but also loves her naps and snuggles
~ House & Crate Trained, non destructive
~ Walks very well on leash, knows her commands and demonstrates her abilities with an air of brilliance
~ No resource guarding and has splendid manners
~ Can be extremely sweet and playful with very good recall
~ Makes human friends easily but not happy with other dogs, nor other animals in the home

Medical:
~ Healthy, 60 lbs, spayed, vaccinated and UTD with parasite prevention

Favourite things:
~ lots of walks and outdoor fun (she loves tanning in the summer but also enjoys the winter snow)
~ receiving praise and rewards for mastering new accomplishments (she loves to learn)
~ toys, treats and playing tag with her favourite people
~ relaxing nap after a yummy meal
~ listening to music (classical is her preference but she's pretty accommodating)
~ hunting for squirrels (or basically anything resembling a squirrel)

Dreamhome Wishlist:
~ A home in a rural or suburban setting which isn't too noisy or busy.
~ A home with a fully fenced yard.
~ A family who work from home or work alternate hours to ensure that Matilda wouldn't be left unattended for more than 5-6 hours per day. A reputable dog walker could also be an option if work hours are long.
~ A home without other animals. Matilda needs to be the only furry family member.
~ A home without young children (over 12 years old would be fine).
~ A family willing to commit to ensuring Matilda gets at least 2-3 good walks per day and a healthy balance of both mental and physical stimulation.
~ Someone with dog experience, dedicated to continuing Matilda's education and providing regular rules and boundaries, utilizing force-free methods.*We offer training and counselling support for all of our Adoptables through our Pup Parent System with adoption.
~ A family willing to either continue feeding Matilda the Raw Diet she's come to know and love, or willing to feed a reputable kibble such as Acana or Orijen along with blended veggies daily.*Our Doggytime Veggie Smoothie recipe will be shared with adopters.

Additional adoption info

~ Telephone Interviews can take 20 min. to 1 hour
~ Home Visits are mandatory to ensure the dog you're applying for will be comfortable at your residence.
~ Meet & Greet is usually scheduled here at Doggytime™ and cannot be rushed. We take the time to allow you and the dog you're applying for to get aquainted, take a walk together and establish a rapport. We also go over the dog's details and address any other questions at this time.
~ Raw Feeding Instruction is also demonstrated at time of Meet & Greet to ensure you're fully equipped to continue this method of feeding. (Raw Article and Menu is emailed prior to Meet & Greet).
~ After the Meet & Greet, we will send you a list of required items for your potential new furry friend. You'll need to have these items in place before bringing the dog home with you.
~ Signed Adoption Contract and Paid Adoption Fee is mandatory to allow Adoption to proceed. Copy of Contract will be provided.
~ Adoption fees vary depending on dog (age, health, etc.)
~ We stand behind ALL of our dogs! Once you've taken your new furry family member home, we're still here to help you. Dogs need time to adjust to a move, and sometimes it's hard for new doggy parents. Many dogs become very stressed adjusting in their new adoptive home. Doggytime™ offers support for this transition utilizing our "Pup Parent System". The six phases of the system incorporate both telephone consultations and email correspondance, complete with exercises and "homework". This support is available for every Doggytime™ adoptable dog. We urge adopters to follow through with our system to ensure a happy and healthy outcome for these dogs. ♥.
~ Don't forget about us. We fall in love with all of our dogs and once they're gone to their Furever homes, we never forget them. We only ask for a little update once in a while. A telephone call, an email or a Facebook message is very much appreciated ♥
