My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Woof woof, folks! It's your pal, King, here to share a little piece of my journey with you.

You know, life has a funny way of throwing curveballs at us, doesn't it? But hey, I'm proof that even in the darkest of times, there's always a glimmer of hope. I'm a 3-year-old boxer mix, and my name is King—I guess you could say I'm on a quest to live up to that regal title.

When they found me, I was a mess, scared of my own shadow. People had done some pretty awful things to me, things I'd rather not dwell on. But I made a promise to myself: never again would anyone hurt me. I built up walls, thick and tall, to keep the world at bay.

But then, something changed. Slowly but surely, the kind souls here began to chip away at those walls. It wasn't easy—I'll admit, I'm still a bit wary. But I'm learning to trust again, one treat and belly rub at a time. And you know what? I'm even learning some cool tricks along the way!

Now, here's the thing: I'm ready for my next adventure, and that means finding my forever home. I think I'd do best with a single person—a true friend who understands what it's like to have a tough shell but a soft heart underneath.

So, are you ready to take a chance on a scrappy guy like me? If you are, come on down and meet me. Let's see if we're a match made in heaven.

More about this rescue

We are a small group of animal lovers dedicated to finding homes for as many animals as possible. We are a non profit group and work very hard to raise the money needed to care for these pets awaiting forever homes. We showcase them in the local newspaper every Sunday and have a weekly "spot" on a local radio station.
