Greetings! I’m Loki, a robust and spirited chocolate-colored Pit mix. At 4.5 years young, I’m full of life and love to share. My 68.3 pounds are packed with joy and a zest for playtime. I’m a big sweetheart!
I’m a neutered male, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative, so you can rest easy knowing I’m as healthy as I am happy. I am also microchipped. I’ve mastered the essentials—house, crate and leash training are all part of my repertoire.
While I’m a big sweetheart with a bubbly personality, I’m a bit choosy when it comes to my dog friends. I am dog selective and prefer to be the only dog in the home. As for cats, we are not sure how I am around them. That’s an adventure we can explore together, as I’m open to being cat-tested. While I’d love to be your loyal companion, I need to be in a home without little kids. I can be around teenagers who have good dog manners and boundaries.
Currently being fostered in Hampton, VA, I’m ready to embark on a journey to a home of my own. I can be transported to nearby states to find my forever home. Remember, you’ll need to be 21 or older to apply for my adoption.

Our adoptable dogs are all in various foster homes and can be met by contacting rescue. Rescue will then provide foster home's contact information. Meet and greets will be arranged between foster and potential adopters. We also have adoption events at Petsmart on various dates which can be checked on our Facebook page, Operation Save a Shelter Dog.

Our Mission
Operation Save A Shelter Dog is a foster based, IRS-recognized 501c(3) rescue whose mission is to work with shelters on the East Coast by saving dogs at high risk of euthanasia or that have little hope of adoption in their current condition. Not only is it our goal to find furever homes for our dogs, but also to educate the public on the importance of spaying, neutering, vaccinating and providing preventative care for their pets.
