Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zadie is a 2 year old German Shepherd Mix who weighs 42 lbs. She is house and crate trained. Her crate is her safe place, and the door to it is left open at all times at her foster house. She can have free roam of the house without being destructive.

She was very shy and nervous when she first arrived, but her previous foster reports that she gains confidence every day. She knows several commands, sit, down, and shake. She'll need an experienced dog owner to be patient and kind with her and to continue her training to build her confidence.

In her new home, she will require plenty of mental and physical stimulation to help keep her calm. She is good with other dogs, but needs a slow introduction. She will also need a slow introduction with cats, but does warm up. She will need her food and toys in her own personal space. She has trouble sharing toys with other dogs and kids. Zadie needs a home with kids over the age of 8 yeard old who know how to respect her boundaries and space.

Zadie is a really sweet, friendly, good girl - she'll make a wonderful addition to the right home and reward her family with all sorts of love!

Her minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
