My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Simba is a purebred German Shepherd puppy born in June or July 2022. She is very smart and easily trainable. Like all German Shepherds, she needs someone who is willing to spend the time and energy exercising and training her.
Simba is currently in the Rio Grande Valley. When an adopter has been approved, she will be brought to the Austin area for a meet and greet and final adoption.

More about this rescue

We began by rescuing Welsh Corgis (both Cardigan and Pembroke) and then Great Danes. Then we took some Corgi mixes to keep them from being euthanized, and eventually accepted some other dogs, and took in the occasional cat.

We largely stepped back from rescue in 2012, but continue to take in a few animals at a time and find homes for them. Currently, we are taking in unwanted animals from the Rio Grande Valley and finding them homes, which is why you will see dogs that have nothing to do with either Corgis or Great Danes listed.

All animals are vaccinated and spayed or neutered prior to adoption, with very few exceptions.
