My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bella, the magnificent 9-year-old Siberian Husky with a personality as vibrant as her striking blue eyes. Bella is not your average canine companion—she`s a vocal and expressive husky who isn`t afraid to let her feelings be known. From excited howls to playful barks, Bella`s voice is just as big as her heart.

Despite her age, Bella`s zest for life is infectious. She approaches each day with boundless energy and enthusiasm, always ready for an adventure or a cuddle session with her favorite humans. Bella thrives on affection and loves nothing more than snuggling up close for some quality bonding time.

But don`t let her vocal nature fool you—Bella is also incredibly intelligent and independent. She`s a quick learner who enjoys engaging in mentally stimulating activities, whether it`s solving puzzles or learning new tricks. Bella`s sharp mind and keen instincts make her a joy to be around and a fascinating companion to observe.

With Bella by your side, you`ll never have a dull moment. Whether she`s leading the way on a hike through the wilderness or simply lounging around the house, Bella`s larger-than-life personality shines through, bringing joy and laughter to everyone she meets.

So if you`re searching for a furry friend who`s equal parts vocal and affectionate, look no further than Bella—the Siberian Husky with a heart as big as her personality. Come meet her today and discover the endless love and excitement she has to offer!

More about this shelter

Volunteers needed now. Are you an animal lover, do you have a couple of hours each week to volunteer? Many opportunities available. Work with dogs, cats, bunnies, office work, fostering and more. For more details on volunteering contact Michelle Maltun at (805) 345-5741.

We care for stray and homeless animals, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other animals such as chickens, guinea pigs or iguanas. We always hope the family will come to reclaim their lost pet, but if not, we work to find a loving new family for them.

We ensure that dogs are current on their rabies vaccination and license.

At Animal Services, our goal is to ensure that all the animals in our County have a safe place to live. We work hard to find loving homes for the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that come into our care. Together, with community partners and concerned citizens, we are making sure that all these animals have a "Forever Home!"
