My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

John Denfur was part of an outdoor colony with a wonderful caretaker who initially TNR'd (trap, neuter, return/release) him to ensure he could live a longer, healthier life and that there wouldn't be dozens of kittens joining the colony. Unfortunately, John did sustain an injury that led to his back right leg needing to be amputated. His caretaker was concerned about releasing him back to the colony, so he came into rescue!

John is still quite shy of humans, so he may not be a cuddly lap buddy. But he loves other cats and would make a great companion in that regard! He will need to be adopted to a home with another kitty!
He is food and treat motivated, so his love and affection could likely still be won over by the right Mountain Mama (or Papa).

We are a foster home based rescue in Clarksville, TN, and our cats are in private foster homes in the Clarksville area. An adoption application is required to meet our kitties. Once your application is reviewed and upon approval, we will then provide the information to schedule a meet and greet with their foster.

Meet and Greets are scheduled at mutually beneficial times for foster and potential adopter

Adoption fees are processed via PayPal or invoiced so that they can be paid via credit/debit card. This can be done during the Meet & Greet

Pets can go home directly from a successful meet and greet

Pets can go home within 24-48 hours, if not directly from a successful meet and greet

We have a highly responsive team of administrators who review and respond to applications often within 1-3 days and are willing and able to address any questions or concerns about the process
