My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zeke has been fostered with us since Fall 2023. He was a bag of bones upon arrival and has spent his last months learning how to dog and fattening up! Zeke is now around 60 pounds (full grown). His DNA was sent out and he is a cattle dog/pittie mix. Zeke has done well with other dogs in his home, but prefers them to be smaller than him (its easier to herd everyone that way!). Zeke has been interested in the cats at his foster home, and does not try to hurt them, but also doesn’t always remember his size. Zeke is sweet and silly, but can be a "bull in a china shop” kind of guy - so kids in the adoptive home should be of the older and sturdier type.

Additional adoption info

The adoption process consists of your completion of an adoption application, our review of the application and contacting relevant references, verifying the application information, a home visit (for puppies & dogs only) and then contacting you with a decision about approval. Please note that this process for cats may take up to seven days, but will often be less. Since a home visit is required for dogs, the process may take slightly longer (often not more than 2 weeks).

You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt one of our cats / kittens 21 years of age to adopt our dogs / puppies.

FEES:

Cats: Generally $150 per cat

This includes:
-spay/neuter
-2-3 rounds FCRVP
-rabies
-Felv/FIV testing
-microchip
-flea/tick meds while in foster care
-deworming

Dogs:
Puppies under 6 months -$350
Puppies 6 months - 1 year- $300
1-7 years-$250
7+ years-$150

This includes:
-Age appropriate vaccines (a minimum of 2 rounds of Parvo/Distemper for puppies)
-Bordetella vaccine (kennel cough)
-Microchip
-Deworming
-Heartworm testing (dogs over 6 months)
-Flea/tick/heart worm medications while in foster care
-Spay/Neuter

We understand the desire to meet our animals as soon as possible but because we operate entirely out of foster homes, we need to limit pet visitation to approved applicants only. Once your application is completed by you and approved by Saving Grace, we will be glad to schedule your visit.

More about this rescue

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue. As a rescue, it is our mission to end the neglect of animals across the east coast by rescuing them and helping find their forever home. We want to save the lives of pets and enhance the lives of people by finding the perfect new fur-baby for each family! We do not have a facility, our fosters accept these rescue dogs and cats into their homes out of their love for animals.
