Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Onyx is looking for a very special forever home. You see she was shot in her back; the bullet pushed into her spine, and she can't use her back legs. Onyx is 1 year, 8 pounds; what could she possibly have done to deserve that. We tried all we could to help Onyx walk again; sent her to Safari Vet near Houston, where she was evaluated by specialists in this field, had a CT scan. Onyx is very sweet, shy at first; loves to be close to her people, lap time. She also loves to "run" in her drag bag, working on using a cart. She sure is easy to carry. Onyx is not in pain, needs no meds. She gets along with other dogs. If you have a huge heart and can open it to this tiny special needs sweetheart, please reach out and/or submit our online application at www.longdogsrescue.org/application. Onyx is near Shreveport, LA until February 16; then fostered near Philadelphia, PA. Her adoption fee is $125 to help with her very large vet/test bill.
