My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Raven is a happy, petite 45-pound lab mix who came to us with two 6 month old puppies. She is a heart worm survivor and is enjoying life to the fullest now that she is past this stage of her life. She is crate and house trained. She loves everyone she meets, people, dogs, kids (over the age of 5); cats are ok, although she does like to look for the ones that hide under the couch. She knows some basic commands and is learning to walk on a leash. She loves racing around the yard doing zoomies, carrying a rope toy in her mouth.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
