We would like to introduce you to Roger. This shy boy is looking for his own forever home that can give him the understanding and patience he needs. Roger came to us during that big snowstorm when he was found as a stray. This sweet boy wasn’t very sure of people, despite the fact that he was shivering and needed help. Roger continued to be extremely shy, hiding in the back of his kennel for the first week and a half, to the point that you couldn’t even tell there was a dog in the kennel without the sign! He was so nervous. One day, a volunteer sat in his kennel for 2 hours, coaxing him to the front of his kennel with yummy treats and tons of patience. Once he trusted her, this shy boy became the most wiggly, belly-flopping, ear-flapping, happy boy who sought so much attention and love! He now dive-bombs into the laps of those he trusts and seeks all the pets, treats, and kisses he can get!

Roger seems dog friendly, and he loves to play through the fence with them. He trusts females a lot quicker than males. Roger just needs to know he is safe with you before he opens up and unleashes his silly side. He has the best play bow and prance when he has a toy. Roger walks stellar on leash and loves sitting patiently for a treat. We believe he is about 2-3 years old, and he gives the best, gentle kisses. Roger just needs a fenced in yard, a lower traffic home, and someone who is patient as this boy continues to come out of his shell! Is that with you?
