Meet Macaroni AKA Mac, a 2 year old lab/pitty mix. Mac was brought to MADACC in the beginning of January very underweight and malnourished. At first he was very scared of all humans, loud noises and quick movements. After just a few weeks in his foster home, Mac is a whole new dog. He willingly asks for pets and snuggles and enjoys booping you on the butt.
He is putting on weight pretty steadily. His foster parents think he will end up weighing around 45-50lbs. He loves to play with his foster siblings! Mac would definitely appreciate another dog around to make him feel comfortable and to show him the ropes. He has been great around children but still gets a little startled by loud noises or quick movements - he will outgrow this. Mac is getting used to the world and all that comes with it.
A lower energy young boy, Mac likes to go for short walks while also being completely content to just snuggle up and have a movie day! He has already mastered the sit command and is crate and potty trained.
Mac would thrive with a patient family and preferably someone who is home most of the time to bring out the best in him. He has a lot of love to give and would make a great addition to the family.
