My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pump the brakes friends!! This is one you don’t wanna miss!!

Friends, PLEASE take a minute to read about our super bestest girl Reesie. This sweet lady has been waiting for her forever family for a year. A YEAR!!! The silver lining to having her with us for so long is that we’ve come to know her pretty darn well and we’re all shocked she’s still single. Her foster family raves about how sweet she is and that she’s quite the character. She loves to find the sunniest spot around and plop down for a snooze. She gives A+ rated hot face baths. If no one has free hands to play, she ain’t waitin’ and starts throwing her own toys around to chase - a pretty hilarious sight to stumble upon… see this VIDEO. She’s learned to give paw, and gets so excited to show off her skills that she forgets about gravity and tries to give both paws at once, lol!

Reesie is around 2 years old and came into rescue from a TN kill shelter with her puppies, who were likely born on the streets. Her babies long ago went to awesome forever families while Reesie’s been waiting for her people to finally find her. And this lady has a LOT to offer a family. She is completely house trained, crate trained (she actually loves her crate and is known to put herself to bed when she’s ready), walks well on leash, loves car rides, enjoys cats, and has amassed a list of commands she’s conquered. She's smart, treat motivated, and so eager to please. She loves affection and likes nothing better than being her people’s trusted and faithful companion for all of their adventures.

Our sweet gal likely had a rough time on the streets providing for her little family and still has a hard time trusting other dogs. She also thrives on routine and predictability, and has done awesome with a family with older kids. So she’s looking for a single dog home with no little kiddos. If this is you but you routinely enjoy riding the struggle bus and “taking the long way home", we have plenty of puppies needing homes, but if you’re ready to bring a true professional and your new “ride or die” home for good, sweet Reesie has been waiting for you. And thanks to generous donors, we’re also throwing in a free virtual training session at Summit Dog Training. You can also see her INTERVIEW here! Don't delay in getting your application in today for this incredible gem of a dog.

Reesie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested positive for heartworms and has completed treated in our care. This dog's adoption fee is $300.

Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pup’s with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!

If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.

TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.

After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
