Just When He Needed Them Most

Wilson was terrified when he was found whimpering at a busy intersection. We were sure he had just gotten lost. After all, this sweet, well-mannered (and well-fed) guy was definitely someone’s indoor companion.

But a trip to the vet seems to tell a heart breaking story.

Wilson has a mass on his hind quarters that requires surgery. It’s likely that he’ll be just fine, but it now also seems likely that his “family” simply dumped him when they learned he needed surgery. Just when he needed them most, the people Wilson loved and trusted have let him down in the most painful way possible.

As we make preparations to get Wilson the care he needs, this sweet, gentle boy snuggles with new friends, but still looks for a familiar face. We’ll heal Wilson’s physical wounds. Will you be the one to heal his heart?

About our Sweet Boy:
-Around 6 years old
-Mixed breed (mostly retriever, a little rotti?)
-70 pounds
-Neutered
-Up to date on all shots
-Perfectly trained
-Easy-going and playful
-100% gentle and affectionate! Loves everyone: a great dog for kids!
-Perfect with other dogs and seems just fine with cats, will fit in easily with any family!
