Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Alexa!!
Alexa is a playful, affectionate lady with a goofy personality. She is roughly 6 years of age and she's from South Carolina!
She LOVES her doggy foster brothers and could play with them all day long. Her foster mom believes she would do well with other females her size as well. She can't resist a game of high speed chase with small animals, so she should go to a home without cats or small dogs.
Alexa's perfect day would include lots of playtime with her fur siblings, a jog or long walk in the sun, a bunch of toys to play with, and a cuddle marathon to end the night. She is highly food and toy motivated, which makes her very trainable. She has been doing well with crate training and potty training in her foster home.
Her past is unknown but it has taught her to fear strangers. She has shown fear with new people, especially those who come into her house. Luckily, Alexa's foster mom is teaching her that new people aren't so scary and can be trusted. She even gets to go to work with her foster mom and meet all sorts of nice people! If given a few minutes to warm up, Alexa is a loyal friend for life.
She hopes her forever family will continue to work through her fear of strangers and help her blossom into a social butterfly. Until then, she kindly requests a cozy bed in a quiet room or crate to retreat to until she gets comfortable with new company. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply today!
