My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOUIE likes to be hugged, he's affectionate. He enjoys human companionship. He likes meeting dogs, he is slightly dominant so a female dog or docile male dog companion would be best. He is housetrained and crate trained. He is three years old. He's very smart. He likes to run and he loves tennis balls :-)

His adoption fee includes his neutering, testing, vaccines, deworming and microchip. He was born 2020 on one of the reservations we work with. He doesn't walk on leash yet and would do well with some positive training. Once he gets the jist of this he'd probably be excellent at agility :-)

* You must live in our adoptable area (Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, White Rock, Los Alamos areas of New Mexico) and

More about this rescue

We work with the animals at three local Indian tribes (pueblos). We have a spay/neuter called, Door2Door, we assist animals with medical emergencies, prevention, education. We rehab and re-home the unwanted, abandoned, and neglected. At the time of adoption, we bring the pet to your home to make sure all family members including all fur babies get along and all are onboard and committed to the pet. We have an adoption process and we like to stay in touch with the families for the life of the pet.
