Perseus, or Percy for short, is a very handsome little guy. He is about 1 1/2 years old approximately. He is very friendly and a little shy, but warms up quickly.
He was rescued from Lions Park in San Antonio which is a dumping ground. Percy had a collar on his so he was owned by someone at one time. And he is housebroken so his previous owners did allow him to be an indoor dog. Percy appears to be a Pekingese/Keeshond blend. He has a very light, almost white, fawn coat like the Pekingese; and the black on the face like the Keeshond (and the Pekingese). Percy would benefit from being an indoor dog, and would do well with a couple or single person who would be gentle with him.
He does not require a great deal of exercise. Percy will require being brushed and occasionally groomed, although he does not have the kind of fur that has matting.
He is neutered, has had his shots, is microchipped, is heartworm negative and is on monthly heartworm preventive. With a gentle hand, Percy will bond extremely well with his new pet parent(s).
As his foster mom, I would prefer he be adopted by someone who does not have very small children as he is a quiet dog. He is very gentle and wags his tail when you talk to him in a gentle voice. He is crate trained and does very well in his pen during the day while I am at work. He does not require another dog to be content. Percy will be a very wonderful and gentle companion for the right home. If you are interested, please email Dorothy at edndd2004@aol.com.
