Are you mostly a homebody that loves to be outside in nature walking and hiking? Do you love to snuggle on the couch or play tug of war in your back yard sharing snacks and hugs? Do you like sharing your bed with a fella that will stay close to you all night long? If so, you need to take a look at Nugget. He'd love to have a home with a nice fenced in yard and his very own people. He's not much of a 'meeting new friends on leash' kind of guy. Don't get me wrong, he loves dogs. He lives with 6 of them. He just has to meet them on his turf and on his timeline. If this happens, all is golden and he's a friend for life. Oh, did I mention he LOVES kids? He's a little young and big so may knock over little ones with his enthusiasm but he absolutely adores them. Nugget is a typical young labby mix boy with so much love to give...He's crate trained and house trained and ready for his next chapter. Please don't overlook this great guy!
OMG justt look at Nuggie's new picture. 2 weeks post 'almost dead' from parvo to a beautiful, shiny coat labby boy. And so happy and playful. You won't want to miss out on this little guy.

Little Nugget, aka Nuggie is on his 3rd and final chance at life. A 'PAWFECT' forever home. You see, the shelter where we pulled him from euthanizes parvo pups. If we hadn't have pulled him he was certain to die :(. Then he spent a week in our ER vet where he tried to die a couple of times but due to their and our diligence and several thousand dollars, he beat the odds there too. So when I picked him up today I told him that he has a chance at life that very few in his situation gets so he better be the bestest doggie EVER. He seemed to understand and wagged his tail and gave me lots of kisses. Nuggie is getting to know his foster siblings and learning the ropes. He needs to gain some weight which we'll get to right away! He's affectionate, playful and appears to be a great little pup. Are you the pawfect home he'll be looking for? ♥ The first step is to fill out our adoption application on our website at www.pawfectmatch.org under Adoption Information.
♥ Once we receive your application, the second step will be for our volunteers to check your vet reference and talk with your personal references.
♥ The third step, if your application is approved, is for our volunteers to contact you about scheduling a home check. This is not to see what kind of house you live in or how clean or dirty it is. It is simply to see if the yard size, fencing, etc is compatible with your dog of interest. It also allows other animals in your household as well as children to meet your potential new dog to see if everyone will get along and to make sure this is truly a "pawfect" match!
♥ After all three of these steps are completed, the final step is to sign the adoption contract and make the adoption donation fee of $300.00. This may seem high, but it is actually a bargain! Your new pet will be up to date on the necessary vaccinations required by the age of the dog at time of adoption, spayed or neutered, on heartworm preventative and flea and tick meds, micro-chipped, groomed, and well on his or her way with basic obedience and house training. All of our dogs will be adopted out with a collar and leash, and a PMR tag.

More about this rescue
We are an all volunteer rescue organization devoted to saving dogs from shelters, puppy mills, abusive situations and abondonment in North Carolina. Our members foster, transport and help the rescue efforts with their individual skills, experience, knowledge and expertise, and most importantly, their love of dogs.
At Pawfect Match Rescue we believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance regardless of their breed or age.
We take a different approach to rescue. We don’t try to save the masses; we just save ONE at a time and make them the best dog they can be by the time they find their forever homes.
By that we mean that we take them into our homes where they live amongst us and our pets and are treated as one of the family, not as a foster dog. We accomplish this by limiting our fosters to one or two per household.
Besides the basics of crate training and house training, we teach them basic obedience, we groom them, feed them a high quality dog food, and last but not least, we shower them with LOVE and attention that hopefully teaches them to trust again and realize that life really IS good..
We’ll never be able to save them all, no matter how many we try to pull and foster. So we believe that the one at a time approach with the extra TLC allows us to really KNOW the dogs and be able to match them more precisely with their new families.
This ends up being a win- win situation for all involved.
Pawfect Match is all volunteer and relys soley on adoption donation fees and public support. Most times our adoption donations do not cover our medical expenses.
