My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Titan - Available for Adoption
Friends of Stanly County Animals Rescue
Stanly County, NC

Titan is a 5 year old lovable Bully beefcake looking for love and a home to call his own!

Things he loves (in no particular order): food, treats, chew bones, food, all the sniffs, peeing on things, food, chin scritches, butt pats. Lol!

Things he doesn’t love: other dogs in his personal living space. He is currently with a female dog around his size. And he does good. But whenever they are inside, he tends to want to resource guard. Because his fosters saw that early on, they simply do what they need to do to head that off.

He was brought to the shelter as a stray, but seems to have had some type of home life before his new start. Maybe he was bullied and on his own for a while, but he is slowly learning that he doesn’t have to fend for himself anymore. He is house and crate trained (sleeps through the night with no complaints). He doesn’t mind a bath and likes getting brushed. He is doing well with learning leash manners and redirects easily.

Titan is relatively unconcerned with other dogs when outside. Inside, however, he likes to keep things to himself and isn’t a fan of the resident dog coming close to his crate when anything other than himself is in it. (So his best home would be where he is the only pet or where the other dog is submissive). He loves attention, does well with his foster's 5-year-old son (doesn’t pay him much attention), and seems to really want a lady human to call his own. An ideal adopter would be someone with breed experience and if multiple dogs are in the household, experience with resource guarding and pack integration.
