MEET ROSIE #4!!!

Rosie's owner recently passed away and she was left with four siblings on a property. Rosie is recovering from some neglect but overall thriving!

Rosie is laid back, she wants belly rubs, pets and to watch tv with you while she lays across your lap or feet. Rosie is tolerant of other dogs but if they get to "up in her business" she puts them in her place. She would rather be the only diva in the home right now, and she deserves it!

Her body will make you do a double take, is she a big dog or a little dog, is she the Catdog, what is going on with that big ol' hotdog body? You have to see her in person, and once you do, you will fall in love!

Rosie loves to go on short walks and is so easy on the leash, she doesn't pull, is right by your side and is only distracted if she sees a lizard, and even then she just wants to watch to see where they go!

Rosie would also do great in an apartment/condo/townhouse, a big dog with small dog charms!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

Go meet their pets

We attend multiple adoption events throughout the valley during Spring and Fall.
If you are interested in a specific pet, please complete our adoption application found on our website and we can then coordinate a meet and greet.

More about this rescue

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.
