Lucy (AL) is a female Boxer rescued in Alabama. Our veterinary partner estimates that Lucy is 5 weeks old at the time of intake in early February 2023. Lucy is good with people of all ages and other dogs. If this pretty little pup could talk, she would tell you that although she has a physical disability, her ability to live, play, love and be happy is uncompromised! Lucy suffered an injury to the growth plate in her hind leg during the birth process which has caused her hind leg to be shorter than the other. It causes Lucy no pain at all; all it does is give her a unique goofy gait that makes us love her even more! Lucy has a luxating patella in her other hind leg which will very soon be surgically repaired. Lucy is a sweet, happy, funny girl who will always have a unique bounce to her step. She doesn't know she's different; all Lucy wants to do is bounce into her forever home and love her forever family with all her heart. If you have space in your heart for Lucy and can give her the forever home she deserves, please apply online to adopt Lucy (AL) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue. All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.
