My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Piper is a sweet girl with a tender heart once you get through the tough exterior.  She does ok with some cats depending on their personality & could co-exist with a dog.

Piper is a wonderful cat but is very finicky. She loves to play with strings  & likes to bird watch - but she absolutely loves her squeezy treats!!! Once she trusts you, she is an absolute dream.  If you’ve ever met a woman who was so sweet & kind but also had serious RBF & wasn’t afraid to throw hands at any given point - then that’s Piper, but in a cat.   She loves to be held & given face scratches & likes for you to give her face kisses while you hum. Pipes is a big girl & you don’t realize it until you see her massive paws on your shoulder.   She also loves to do “drive-by’s” & rub against your leg while chatting & then run off when you pet her tail.

Pipes is still learning how to cat   in some ways (playing, communicating, etc.) but is working on it, most days. She is a very chatty lady & doesn’t mind letting you know how displeased she is.  ️

However, for all of her quirks & issues, she is so incredibly worth it & such a great cat. If you think you have what it takes to love such a treasured soul, fill out an application today or message me for more information. This is a once in a lifetime soul that you don’t see often but will stay with you forever.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our 9LCR cats are not routinely tested for FIV and FeLV for various reasons, one being to keep the costs and hence the adoption fee affordable. This decision is based on studies that have found that only about 4% of cats are actually infected. The funds for testing are better utilized for our spay and neuter efforts of owned and community cats in order to save the most cats. However, testing can be performed upon request and need to be covered by the person interested in adopting.
9 Lives Cats have been spayed or neutered and have updated vaccinations. 9 Lives is run entirely on volunteers. Please give us 2-7 days to process your application. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us! Please fill out our application form found here: t.ly/38VV
Adoption fee is $70.00.

More about this rescue

We started 9 Lives Cat Rescue to find homes for cats that are homeless or need to be relocated.
We are a no-kill, non-profit group. Our cats live in foster homes until they are adopted. We spay & neuter every cat before they are adopted.
We fully support our local no-kill feral cat group who practices TNR (Trap, Neuter & Return).
