My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bear (loving called Smokey by his finders) is one of our newest arrivals at the sanctuary. He was wandering a neighborhood for a bit and some residents were able to catch him. They instantly fell in love with him and had him fully vetted to include neutering! He was well cared for but unfortunately nobody could keep him. At the moment he is very wary of people, will give a little bark but will approach for treats and even take them out of your hand. He seems to love other dogs and has met a chihuahua and a larger dog as well and even tried to initiate play. He's not comfortable with being leashed, so once he gets more used to us, we will slowly introduce him to one. Bear is going to be a "project pup" but hopefully in time he will become comfortable with people and can become a cherished family member.
