Hello there. My name is Lexi and I am a sweet senior gal. I'm 13 years old, but you'd never guess because I act like I'm 5 or 6! I had a full blood work done at the end of June and I'm in pawfect health. Sure, at my age my legs are a little stiff, but I'm taking Glucosamine for arthritis. I just love to walk around outside!
As you can see, I'm a big strong, girl, but I don't pull. I'm always smiling because I love life. I had my teeth professionally cleaned a few weeks ago too!
My doggie daddy died last year. He was old and frail and had trouble walking me, but he wouldn't give me up. He gave me all the love I could ask for, but I've been in boarding since September 2009. It's okay. People walk me and talk to me every day, but sometimes I'm all by myself, and it makes me sad. I used to live with 5 cats. They were my little feline pack. I took good care of them, and they all found homes...but not me. I love cats and other dogs, children and adults, but I'd prefer a quiet new home with a mature person like me.
I don't have all the energy I used to have but I will try to play with puppies and always let kids pet me and hug me. I am not stingy with my kisses! I am very affectionate.
I am so curious about other dogs. I want to meet them all. I hadn't had the opprtunity to play with other dogs in years until City Pitties started bringing me to events. I've made many friends but have not found my new home. I would love to cuddle up on the couch or a soft bed while you read or watch TV. You can foster me for a few weeks and see how much you like my company. You won't be disappointed!
Would you like to get together for some biscuits? I am so well behaved. You can take me into a pet store and I will not steal any treats out of the baskets. I will sit nicely and wait and gently take whatever you want to share with me. I'm staying in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn (NY).
