My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Victoria and I am so glad to be done having puppies. This final round was no fun...there were 11. I'm done. I was also heartworm positive, so even after my puppies went to their foster homes, I still had 30 more days of treatment (meaning quiet time to heal-also no fun). I am ready to go. As in go home, go play, go run, go explore....just go. I want my svelt figure back! I am a very sweet girl and am learning how awesome it is to just be a dog. I am learning all the things...commands, leash walking...and am doing GREAT!! Naturally, I get pretty darn excited to come out of my crate, but once I get the zoomies out, I love to snuggle. The other dogs in the house are fun too and I am learning to play appropriately. Cats are really fun to chase and I get pretty excited when I see one, so any cats in the home need to be dog savvy. I've been smacked by one, but it didn't deter me much.

I make myself look and sound even more adorable by "woo wooing" at you when I want your attention. So far, it has a 100% return rate of treats and affection and I am more than ready to conduct this research on my forever family.

ADOPTION FEE: $175 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained)

DOG FRIENDLY: Yes!
DOGS IN HOME: Yes, male dog in home or can be solo
CATS: Will chase, but may be able to overcome with proper training and energy outlets
CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over

I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $175 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me!

INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25.

DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER CONTACT/INQUIRY/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response.

PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fees are $250 for adult dogs, and $350 for puppies 5mo and under. Adoption fees may be more or less depending on breed, special needs, etc. This covers all vetting and allows us to take on hard cases.

It all starts with an application.

http://www.miamivalleypitcrew.com

Our dogs are listed until an adopter is approved and a hold fee is received. Please submit an application for approval FIRST. You will receive a "received" auto response with further information. We do not adopt out littermates together. We are a 100% foster-based, volunteer rescue so we are not able to respond to every inquiry about a dog (though we try) and we will respond to a request for an application or if one is submitted through our website. Please allow 72 hours for us to respond, and please check your spam/junk mail folder first, then send us an email if you believe we have not responded! Since we are foster-based, we have no centralized facility to visit. All of our dogs live in private homes as members of their respective foster families.

We require a physical fence for most dogs.

Once approved, we bring the dog to your home for a home visit. If all goes well at the home visit, the adoption is completed at that time.

More about this rescue

Mission

To cultivate an understanding of the American Pit Bull Terrier through positive education and example and change the misinformed minds of society one dog at a time!

Nonprofit Overview

The Miami Valley Pit Crew (MVPC) rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with a network of volunteer foster homes dedicated to rescue and rehabilitation of abused, neglected, and misunderstood dogs and puppies. While we are an all breed rescue, we specialize in "bully breeds" and other strong working breeds: Bulldogs, Pit Bulls, Mastiffs, German Shepherds and any mixes of the aforementioned. We pull dogs from the country's overcrowded shelters. We also educate owners and the public on bully breeds and Breed Specific Legislation (BSL). We specialize in dogs, but respect all living creatures and encourage others to do the same by education.

The MVPC evaluates each potential rescue request to determine the dogs re-homing probability. Our goal is to adopt out family dogs and ambassadors of their breed.
