My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking for the perfect senior dog - look no further - because Leo is your boy - absolutely precious little guy that came to us along with 11 others from a horrible hoarding situation where they were all terribly neglected - we could not even tell if they were male or females - they were all matted so bad.
Yes Leo is hard of hearing and has limited vision but you don't have to go through the puppy training or the destructive teenage years - he is just looking for some good company that would enjoy his company and someone that will love him through his golden years
Here is what Leo's foster Dad had to say about him:

Leo is a sweet little man who enjoys spending his days napping. He has some vision and hearing problems that keep him from playing or running around. He would rather just lay on the couch with his human and receive some pets. These vision problems don’t seem to keep him from finding his food bowl, this boy loves to eat.
Leo seems to be housebroken and has not had any accidents in his foster home. He walks well on a leash but is slow due to his vision problems. Leo would fit in well in a quiet home. Someone who would just let him take his naps and enjoy a soft bed and some much deserved pets and love.

Leo has been neutered and had extensive dental work done that was much needed, he has had a senior bloodwork panel done and everything is great, he is vaccinated, heartworm tested and current on prevention, dewormed and microchipped
His adoption fee is 250.00 - if you are interested in Leo - please go to our website www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org and fill out one of our adoption applications - WE DO NOT SET UP MEET AND GREETS UNTIL THE APPLICATION HAS BEEN FILLED OUT AND REVIEWED - WE DO VET REFERENCES AND HOME VISITS
Age is just a number and this boy has so much more love to give and is ready to find a family to call his own and he so deserves that

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Before we will schedule any meet and greets we require our adoption application to be filled out

2.

Interview

Once the application is received and vet reference is checked, the foster would call and tell you more about the pet

3.

Home Check

If both parties feel like it could be a good fit we would schedule a meet and greet at your home

Additional adoption info

Our fees are:
$250.00 (for All Ages)
*Unless otherwise noted

All of our rescues will be spay/neutered prior to adoption, unless they are under 6 months of age or recommended by our vet. All dogs will be micro chipped prior to adoption and come with a care package at the time of adoption

Our application process is as follows:
First an application should be filled out at our website www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org on the Foster/Adoption Application page. A vet reference check is done to verify all the animals currently in the home are UTD on vaccines as well as Heart Worm Preventatives. A phone interview will be conducted, and the final step is a home check.

Go meet their pets

All of our rescues are fostered in separate homes, as we do not have a facility yet. We do have occasional adoption events, which can be found on our website calendar at www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org or on our Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/boxerbuttsandothermutts

More about this rescue

We are located in Western North Carolina. We do adopt out of the area with transport, although, certain dogs have to be adopted locally, and that is always stated in the description. If you adopt a puppy out of our area or choose to use a different vet, we have an application amendment to be filled out as well for the spay/neuter & vaccine contract.
