My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hi, I’m Clover! My foster mom says I’m a lucky girl and pure joy. I have lots of puppy energy and love to play and run and chew on my toys—the wider the variety, the better. But don’t let that fool you. I’m also a champion cuddler, snuggler, and nap taker. I love pets, ear skritches, and a good belly rub. If you sit on the couch or lay down, I would love to come snuggle up close to you! I know "sit" very well, and just learned "lay down." I’m still working on consistent recall for "come," some manners and more basic obedience training, but I can do a lot already! My foster mom says I’m a smart puppy and very treat motivated. I also take training cues from other dogs well, in fact, I just love to do what the other dogs are doing! I have also been kennel training, and I’m getting the hang of it! I kennel up well, but I’m still a puppy so I need regular breaks to stretch my legs and use my energy. I have done stretches of 4 hours during the day, but I am so happy to get time out on lunch breaks. At night I sleep in my kennel for about 6-7 hour stretches. I would prefer to sleep in my foster mom’s bed, but she said I have to wait for my family before I sleep in a bed, just in case. She does let me take a nap in bed with her though, and I just cuddle in and snooze. I am house trained, too, but I’m still a puppy so accidents happen sometimes. I will let you know when I have to go outside to go potty (but sometimes I really just want to go play instead). I love to carry sticks around like a trophy—the bigger the better! I play well with other dogs, and I’m not scared of bigger ones either.
