Meet Teddy!! He is a courtesy post for Luck of The Irish Rescue, www.luckirishrescue.org, in Purcellville VA.
My name sums it up. A handsome, calm, very loyal, treat loving, slightly chunky loveable boy. I'm a terrier/mix - 3-1/2 year old and just 24 pounds. I will be honest and say I've had a really rocky journey since my favorite human passed away. I wound up in his family's home that was super scary and not very loving. I know from my loving human what real love looks like. Will you help me find that again. Honestly, it may take me a little bit to know how to gain your trust. I have a bit of "stranger danger" mode right now -- new people, especially strangers, in your home scare me alot. I'd also be better off with only adults in the home. But, once I know I'm safe & truly loved, I blossom like the most incredible flower, a true diamond in the rough! SHOW ME THE LOVE & I'LL SHOW YOU LOVE & LOYALTY FUREVER - I PAWMISE!! My foster mom say's I'm the most loyal dog there is. Super playful too! She calls me her ray of sunshine; the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. WOW! That makes me feel so loved. Doggie playdates are what I absolutely love too! Can you be patient with me and give me the chance to show you how fabulous I am? I would LOVE that more than anything. I know you're out there. Could that be you? Come meet me and be prepared to fall in love! We guarantee it will be your luckiest day ever -- Teddy's too! (P.S. yummy treats go a long way for gaining my trust too....so do gentle cuddles and chin rubs!) See I really am a good boy & want to be your best buddy!
