Nakita is a sweet senior dog. We adopted her in 2014 with essentially no information about her history. The shelter guessed she was between 2-4 years old at that time so she is 11-13 years old now. She has come such a long way with her anxiety and fears. She is gentle, quiet and often timid. We often joke that she is a cat inside of a dog’s body. Though she has a gentle and calm disposition, she continues to struggle with some anxiety. We have three young children in our house and she does amazing around them, but I think the loudness, unpredictability, and high energy environment has become too stressful for her. She would thrive in a quiet home with an experienced owner who can give her the attention and love she deserves.
