Say hello to Bob! Bob was named for his short little "bobcat" tail that gives him a unique and adorable look. Bob was found abandoned outside of a shelter in a carrier. Attempts to find his owner were unsuccessful, so Bob is now on the hunt for a new family. Bob is an outgoing cat who likes attention, and is social and playful with both people and other cats. Bob has been with us for a few months while we figure out some medical needs he has. In this time, we have all gotten to know (and LOVE!) Bob quite well.
Bob is a special need's kitty. He has the issue of incontinence, which is a result of his spine not fully forming en-utero, which has caused him to have no sensation in his hind end. In case you were wondering, kitty diapers ARE a thing! Bob will go home with his special diaper harness; the pads need to be changed several times a day.
Bob is otherwise a young, healthy, and wonderful cat. He deserves a family that will love and accept him just the way he is. Home Fur Good has trained adoption counselors to review and question any potential problems/issues with application. We do require an adoption fee which ranges for dogs $150-$300 and for cats $50-$100. All cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked.
If another dog or dogs are present in the household we require a meet and greet prior to adoption. All members of the household must be on board with adoption. We do not adopt our rescues out without meeting person that will be responsible - no "gift" adoptions. We contract that if cat/dog must be relinquished they are returned to us. Home Fur Good is a non profit no kill animal shelter located in the NE Valley. We take a majority of our cats and dogs from County, many who have treatable medical conditions and would otherwise be put down. We assess physical and behavior and work with the cats/dogs to find the best suitable match. It is our goal that each cat or dog that comes to our shelter ultimately be placed in their "furever" homes.
We also operate a low cost vaccine and microchip clinic each Sunday. We want to help community be able to care for and keep their animals safe. We do not charge vet fee only fee for vaccine and microchip. Additionally we have a low cost dental clinic each Wednesday. Check our website for more details.
