My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello Fur-iends, I'm Kip!
I've got a face that's been described as 'adorably old man-ish', but don't let that fool you, I'm full of youthful spirit.I'm a big fan of playtime, especially when toys are involved. I'm also a champ on the leash, always walking politely by your side. Despite a rough start, I've found peace in the calm of a home setting. Life's taught me to appreciate the simple things. I'm looking for a family who needs a loving, playful companion. I'm up for a meet and greet with possible canine siblings. Felines-I'm not sure yet.
Why adopt me? Because I promise to bring joy, laughter, and unconditional love to your home.

More about this shelter

The Allegany County Animal Shelter serves as the municipal shelter for Allegany County and is located at 716 Furnace Street in Cumberland. For many years, the shelter served as the final destination for nearly 85% of the animals that entered it. In late 2010, a group of passionate citizens led the charge to change the nature of the shelter with a goal of doing as much as possible for every animal, every day. It was the first step on the journey to becoming A Shelter of Hope.
