Moose is a big ol’ goofy boy, who will eventually grow into his feet. He is a sweet, gentle guy that loves belly rubs, toys, and food. Moose is a young Great Pyrenees mix that may have some Newfoundland in him, so he will likely be a very large dog.
Moose is independent and enjoys the cold and napping in doorways or the middle of the floor. He’s hilariously clumsy and loves being brushed and getting treats. Moose is mostly house trained with a dog door and is considering taking up counter surfing as a hobby, but can be easily distracted by tummy rubs.
If you have room in your house for this easy going boy, he will make you laugh every day. Moose gets along well with our older, slightly cranky dogs, plays very well with our other foster puppy and the roomba has learned to go around him. Just keep him fed and your counter clear and he will be an awesome addition to your home! Moose is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and is on the schedule to get neutered soon. Moose’s adoption fee is $300 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives plus a free basic obedience course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, be altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives for consideration.
