My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zoe is an all natural, three year old. She is sweet, playful and a loving girl. She enjoys toys, playing in the water and car rides. She gets along with respectful, older children. Zoe is a people dog - she likes to sit on the couch with her person and watch TV. She is housebroken, knows how to use the doggy door and crate trained.

Zoe is trained in basic verbal commands. She loves to go for walks but the use of a prong or tension collar is suggested, as she will pull without it. Zoe does resource guard and will take ALL the toys from the other resident dogs and hide them in her crate. She is also protective of her food / eating space.

Zoe is sensitive to doorbells. She will react to hearing one on television, will bark very loud and rush the door if she’s loose in the house. This behavior can change with training and consistency.

Zoe has been re-homed several times in her short life and has struggled to get along with other dogs in previous placements as she has a strong alpha personality. She does not like a lot of chaos going on around her. She prefers order and organization.

Zoe will be an excellent only dog. If a new dog is introduced into her home, the owners will need to be on hand for constant supervision for the first few months. And, she needs a crate / space to be able to retreat / get away from the other dog.
