My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are interested in Bill, please submit an adoption application to New England Brittany Rescue at https://nebrittanyrescue.org/adopt/ and click on the green box.

Meet Bill, a handsome liver and white pointer – brittany blend! Bill is 3-4 years old and weighs about 40 lbs.

Bill is very much a “guy’s dog”, meaning that Bill adores men. Bill will run to greet my husband first, and then greet me. He loves to climb into my husband’s lap for affection and attention. He is an affectionate, sweet an happy boy. He loves to be around people. He will also play with other dogs, although his energy and rough play sometimes is too much for another dog.

Bill is a very smart dog. He learns quickly and is very much an active young dog. He loves to chew on nylabones, kongs, tennis balls and sometimes things not meant for chewing. He is not leash trained, so walks are an adventure.

Bill is crate trained – he will go into a crate when you toss a treat and tell him to “kennel up”. Since he is young, he needs to be crated when not supervised, as he will find “brittany fun” and get into things he shouldn’t. He is generally quiet in his crate when you’re around. Although when he decides he wants out, he is very vocal – he has a loud, persistent bark, so he is not for apartment / condo living. He will bark for 10-15 min when crated and left alone, thereafter he usually settles and chews on a bone in his crate.

Bill is housetrained, microchipped, neutered, up to date on his vaccinations and heartworm preventative.
