My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Crucial has gone through a lot in his approximately eight year old life.  He was rescued as a puppy, went through parvo, then was adopted to a family who loved him for six years.  Unfortunately, due to unforseen family circumstances, he was surrendered to an animal shelter.  Thankfully, one of our wonderful followers who helped him through parvo as a puppy recognized him and immediately called Rescue Row to see if they would consider helping him.  Rescue Row adopted him to a family, but after a year he was returned because of human allergies and his shedding.  He is great with kids, and doesn't seem to mind other dogs, but doesn't need one to be happy, either.  We would love to have him adopted into a forever home this time...is it yours?  As always, we are so thankful to Photography by Sheila for taking such awesome pictures of our dogs!

Crucial was DNA tested and has a mix of 16 different breeds, including:  Siberian Husky (40%), Alaskan Malamute (16%), American Pit Bull Terrier (6%), Cane Corso (6%), Neapolitan Mastiff (6%), Boxer (4%), Chinese Shar-Pei (4%), Shetland Sheepdog (4%), Boston Terrier (2%), Chow Chow (2%), Rottweiler (2%), German Shepherd (2%), Chihuahua (2%), Cocker Spaniel (2%), Australian Cattle (1%), Akita (1%)

Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
