My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elvis is the sweetest dog. He got his name for his soft fur. Very playful and out of the puppy chewing phase. He's housebroken and does pretty good on a leash already. Smart too. He catches on to things quickly. Elvis would not make a long distance hiking buddy even though he loves his walks as he did have a fractured leg when he came to our rescue. It was determined that we had 2 options as the fracture was old - amputation or let it finish healing. We chose to let it heal. He runs, plays and jumps around beautifully and it doesn't bother him a bit. If getting up from a long nap, he's a little stiff, but otherwise you would not even know. UTD on shots, neutered and microchipped. He's dog friendly and older kid friendly due to the leg. Would not want a toddler to get too rough with it. Their adoption process

1.

Interview

We find out what the adopter is looking for in a pet and learn more about their household such as other pets, family members, lifestyle.

2.

Meet the Pet

We then show photos and descriptions of the pets to potential adopters and arrange a meet and greet.

3.

Submit Application

4.

Approve Application

5.

Home Check

In this home check we collect the adoption fee and bring the pet to them also finalizing the transaction. We then switch chip info to adopt

Additional adoption info

We generally stay as guardian on the microchip info and change the primary contact to the adopter. They then have their own log in to keep things current, but we are there as a backup always.

Go meet their pets

Meet and greets can be arranged at any time. We come to you!

More about this rescue

We are a new, small scale rescue. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit and are only volunteers. We began to see the huge numbers of dogs being abandoned and euthanized after our own husky was stolen during a break in to our home. We had to get more involved as it was a lifelong dream to be able to rescue animals. We have self funded the organization since the beginning, but really need donations as we have taken in some medical needs dogs that were due to be put down for manageable / treatable conditions. Our goal is to be able to match adopters with emotional support dogs, therapy dogs, or trainable service dogs, or just to complete a family by adding a furbaby. We ensure our dogs are UTD on shots, spay/neutered, chipped and trained in basic obedience. This ensures a greater chance of finding that forever home!
