Meet Martha!

Martha was found living on the streets of Houston in deplorable condition. Her fur was so matted and her eyes were matted shut. She was shaved down and feels so much better! Unfortunately, she is blind but gets around really well as she learns her way around. Martha does have hearing loss but she appears to be able to hear a little bit. Martha loves naps and is very quiet. She also likes toddling around the yard and snacks! Martha lives in a foster home with several other dogs and does really well. She absolutely adores human contact and will happily let you carry her around for as long as you want! She is a gentle soul looking for the perfect quiet place to live out her years! Wanna meet her? Other Considerations: Martha was spayed and had a full dental in February 2023. She also had two masses removed that were benign. Her fur is currently stained due to her excessive licking prior to coming in to our care. Poor thing, her skin was so inflamed and she could do nothing but lick which just made it worse. Since she has been with Joyrides she has stopped licking and we are hopeful that over time her fur will return to the beautiful white and cream color it was meant to be!
