My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This petite pocket of fun is just as silly and funny as her pictures portray her. She is a sweet girl who stored up all her energy for almost two years, living on a balcony in an apartment, and, well now, she's ready to turn loose!

She lived with a foster family before she came to us and they described her as fearless and ready to go go go! She basically had no manners when she first came to live with them, but quickly picked up on many things, being enthusiastic and easy to train. She has continued to learn while with us and hopefully will keep up her education with you!

Layla is playful, loves toys and treats, and will work for kibble as if it's steak! She is fit, athletic and occasionally get the zoomies. She is a ball fiend and will do anything for it. She also likes tugs, frisbees and stuffies (as long as you don't mind ripped-off heads...)

One of the best things about her (besides her nice small size and fun personality) is her friendliness with people--she is very outgoing, likes a scratch, never met a stranger and yes, she gets exuberant sometimes when making new friends, but you can't fault a girl who was recently sprung from balcony jail for being a little rambunctious! She just loves love.

She has been around kids of all ages and was best friends with the foster's 9 year old son. She also did great with the other dogs in the house (also German Shepherds). She has a mouthy, bouncy play style, and loved playing with a Lab puppy friend too.

Dog sports? She's in! Training and learning? She's in! Meeting new people? She's in! Playing with other energetic dogs? She's in! Living with you and your family? SHE IS IN!

P.S. The cherry on top...if you still need one...she is also fully house and crate trained.
