My story

Stitch is a 12 week old Husky puppy we are now accepting applications for. PLEASE READ BEFORE APPYLING: Previous experience with Huskies a plus if not PLEASE do your research!!! This fellow is a lover. He loves cuddling and sitting on your lap. He is absolutely obsessed with snow and stays outside running around for at least 30 minutes, several times per day. He wants you to play with him and loves catching snowballs!! They are working dogs so they need plenty of exercise. They should NEVER be off leash when outside their fence. Currently he is very shy with resident dogs and cats but not aggressive towards either. He is very vocal and loves to sing. He is very good on a leash and is working on potty training! The great thing about husky pups is they don’t mind going out in the cold!! He will be on the larger side as he is already large for his age. We don’t recommend any kids under 8, as his play biting is pretty hard (we are working on it) and puppies have sharp teeth. He needs a fenced in yard with tall fences as huskies are great escape artists and don’t mind running through an invisible fence, jumping a fence, or digging a hole. NO invisible fences will be considered!! Husky Facts: They are in the working class and love the outdoors. They are escape artists and love being a part of a pack. Husky fur is self cleaning meaning they typically need only a few baths per year. They should be brushed regularly especially in the summer months to keep their fur and skin healthy. Because of their undercoat they tend to shed large amounts 2x a year. Huskies benefit from early socialization with humans and other dogs along with obedience training. Being left alone all day is not emotionally healthy for this breed. Why adoption is a great option

Stitch, a Rochester Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Rochester, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Rochester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester paves the way for another one to be saved.
