Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I've been at the shelter since early March and I'm looking for a special forever home where I can feel safe and loved. Here's what you need to know about me and if you adopt me you'll get some FREE bonus items like a NEW DOG BED, ONE BAG OF HIGH QUALITY DOG FOOD, NEW COLLAR AND LEASH SET AND NEW FOOD AND WATER BOWLS:
Blind but Not Helpless: I may be blind, but that doesn't stop me from being a loving and affectionate companion. I've adapted well to my blindness, and I'm ready to show you just how amazing blind dogs can be.
No Cats or Small Animals, Please: I have a history of not getting along with cats or small animals, so I would do best in a home where I can be the only pet. I want to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe.
Easily Spooked: I'm a bit sensitive and can get easily spooked by sudden movements or loud noises. A calm and quiet home environment would be ideal for me, where I can feel secure.
Loving and Affectionate: Despite my challenges, I'm incredibly loving and gentle. I enjoy snuggling on the couch, leisurely walks, and simply being close to my humans. I'll provide you with unconditional love and loyalty.
Ideal Home: I'm searching for a patient and understanding family who can provide a calm and predictable routine. An environment with few surprises will help me thrive.
Perfect Companion: I'm great with people of all ages, so whether you're a family looking for a gentle companion or an individual seeking a loving friend, I'm here for you.
Special Considerations: My blindness means I require a little extra care, but don't worry—I'm low maintenance. I'd love a home with a securely fenced yard where I can safely explore, and I'll need assistance with navigating new places.
If you're ready to open your heart to a special dog like me and provide the loving and understanding home I need, let's meet. I promise to be your devoted and affectionate companion, bringing joy and gratitude to your life.

If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list.
Ask about adoption transportation assistance if you do not live in the local area.
The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, a bordetella vaccination and are dewormed.
