Zelda is 10 months old as of Sept, 2023. According to ancient TAILS, Zelda’s mother and father were both majestic Dobermans. She was turned over to our rescue as an innocent pup when two very young people didn’t have the ability to care for her.
We estimate this noble princess will be 55 pounds when full grown and would do best with an owner who has large dog experience. Zelda LOVES PEOPLE, LOVES other dogs and LOVES LOVES LOVES to play and PAWrty! When she's not off conquering the world she's a very affectionate snuggler.
Her ideal home would make Zelda an active part of all family activities. She likes being part of the action. Having a playful dog her size would be the cherry on top!
When Zelda first came to The Rescue Train, she needed to work on boundaries and structure. Our dog trainer has worked with her and she’s learned crate training. She advises we look for an adopter who has the time to continue training this young dog and who is home more often than not so they can continue to guide her down the path of being a good canine citizen. Also, because she has a big bark she doesn’t think she would be the best apartment dog. She would thrive with a private yard to play and run.
Zelda is current on vaccines and will be spayed and microchipped prior to adoption.
Whoever ends up adopting Zelda will have a very sweet addition to their kingdom and will all live happily ever after!
