My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wanted: forever home for a fabulous feline with an exceptional case of cattitude.

Prancer is a longtime resident of EHS, mostly because we’ve bent to her will and catered to her every need. She thinks it’s marvelous, but we think it’s time to hand over these responsibilities to someone else, so please help us out!

ABOUT PRANCER
- In foster
- Prancer is the queen of the castle; once you accept that, all will be well between you.
- She is silent and aloof, but, somehow, she makes it adorable.
- Queen P does not like to be petted or picked up but don’t take it personally–she’s wary of the human race in general.
- Lap cat lovers need not apply.
- Not a fan of vocal cats? You’re in luck! Prancer doesn’t purr or meow.
- Prancer has a preferred itinerary. Breakfast (well, all meals) are to be served punctually. If not, Prancer will remind you by ringing a breakfast bell (a toy with a bell on it) bright and early. Her foster mom thinks this is sweet. We can only hope you will, too.
- Her daytimes are spent lounging on the couch and watching cat TV. Do not disturb!
- At night she will allow you to share the bed as long as you keep your distance.
- Playtime is more like hunting time, where she can stalk and pounce on toys in brief bursts of energy before collapsing back on the couch.
- Don’t let the little heart on her nose fool you: Prancer has developed the skill of staring right into your soul. Her judgment is not for the faint of heart!
- Prancer has a royally independent streak. (Our term for it is skittish.)
- Skittish cats may express their trust and affection in different ways. In Prancer’s case, she’ll roll and loll about and show you her furry belly. It’s a trap—don’t touch it! Just admire her catty cuteness from afar.
- What she lacks in social skills, she makes up for in loyalty. (Trust us, she won’t leave!)
- Prancer has diabetes mellitus. She is on a special diet with a daily oral medication, which is easily added to her food. Thankfully.
- Prancer is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and has received core vaccinations.

PRANCER’S IDEAL HOME
- In case you haven’t gotten the drift, Queen P needs a forever family who will accept her affection on her terms and at her pace.
- As long as there is food and playtime, she is happy to be near you and watch your every move.
- As a mature lady, she expects a calm, quiet environment without small
