My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jessie, an approximately 1.5 year old, 70 lb female shepherd mix. This beautiful girl was found as a stray on the streets of LA. Jessie is a medium energy dog that is protective yet sweet, loyal, smart, and STUNNING! She definitely commands attention on her walks. Her favorite things are kisses and Puppuccinos. And she’s crate trained. Which is a huge bonus!

We are looking to place her in a loving home that is comfortable with large dogs and can provide a nurturing but structured environment. She gets along great with other dogs and loves men! So she would thrive in a household with a gentle man and a dog companion.

If you are interested in sweet Jessie, please contact her foster Cynthia at cynquezada@yahoo.com.

Additional adoption info

All potential families must complete a short and easy application, talk to one of our friendly adoption volunteers and undergo a convenient home check.

Before a dog goes home, all families must complete and sign an adoption contract and we do ask for a suggested donation on all adoptions.

More about this rescue

Take Me Home (TMH) is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that has been saving the lives of homeless animals for more than twelve years. We work in conjunction with shelters and rescues throughout California and beyond to help save dogs on death row, on the streets or in unsafe living conditions. Our team is driven by love, compassion and doing right by innocent animals who have no voice.

We are very skilled in running mobile dog adoptions and working with families in all aspects of finding their new family member. We also have an on-site trainer at most of our adoption events and available as a resource after our dogs are placed in loving homes.

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, brought up-to-date on all shots and are micro-chipped. If we pull a dog from a shelter, we will quarantine him/her to ensure they are healthy before they go home. We also have an amazing foster program available for our special needs and older dogs.

As with any non-profit organization, we rely solely on funds from generous and cherished supporters to keep our doors open to save more lives. If you're not ready to adopt, please still consider donating to Take Me Home (www.takemehome.tv) today. Every little bit helps!
