Here's what the humans have to say about me:
They say the quickest way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, and this sweet boy agrees! He can be taught new tricks if you offer treats and is very eager to learn new things! He also likes puzzles and kongs (filled with his favorite foods of course).
He is a great companion for walks, hikes, and jogs. Marlon LOVES other dogs and lights up when a dog friend comes over to play. He even likes watching them on TV! This handsome two-year-old dreams about a forever home that has another dog. He hasn’t been around many kids, but we think children over 12 would be fine. Calm kitties are welcome too!
Marlon has the biggest, dreamiest eyes you’ve ever seen and will use them to his advantage to get pets from his people. He’ll be the first to greet anyone coming over to your home with wiggles and loves meeting new people. He tried out daycare, and while he loves one-on-one time with his dog friends, you could mostly find him hanging out with the staff.
Marlon’s favorite thing in this world is a tire swing that his foster family built for him. He loves to tug on it and throw it around. He can spend hours entertaining himself and playing in the yard!
Like most of us millennials, he can get stressed very easily and has started some anxiety medications for this. Fortunately, we wouldn’t categorize it as separation anxiety, and he’s perfectly content being left alone in his room (his safe space) to hang out while his family is out and about running errands. He doesn’t even really bark at all!
Marlon first entered rescue after undergoing Heartworm treatment in a stressful shelter environment. Now he is 100% healthy, up-to-date on shots, and ready to be your best friend.
