My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet handsome Brady. This fellow is a 2yr old shepherd mix, hungry for love and affection but shy at first to ask for it.  He needs patience to warm up to the family and in only a few days in his foster home he began to feel comfortable. He had a rough start, found at 4 weeks with eye nystagmus, a condition in which the dog's eyeballs move involuntarily and rhythmically. It is suspected that either mom was exposed to a toxin while carrying the litter or they themselves were exposed at a very young age. He also has a mild head wobble that makes him appear he is saying “no”.  Despite this condition, he is very mobile and active but will need to adjust to new surroundings. His focus is a bit off so he takes treats quickly before he realizes what it was. He loves his treats! Brady is such a good boy, he is a smart and loving boy. He gets excited to show you his affection and will nip and is learning “no bite”.  He mastered the doggy door and the stairs in just a day. He is a super good boy in the kennel (just a bit afraid when you first ask him to go in) but also a very good boy in the house should you need to go run an errand. Once he has met all the household pets he is very comfortable with them and very willing to play. He makes a growling noise while playing that may sound scary but it is all play. He is afraid of loud noises and meeting new people so please be patient with him and let him have his space.  He walks well on leash, again he needs patience with new surroundings until he is more familiar. Brady is currently in a foster home with 7 other dogs, ranging in size from very large to toy size and he is awesome with them all. He has no aggression or resource guarding. Brady is hoping his new furrever family who are willing to be patient with him and overlook his differences will find him soon! We can’t say enough about how sweet this boy is!

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)(3) not for profit dog rescue based in Colorado Springs, CO. Our goal is to rescue dogs from high kill shelters in other states and get them adopted into forever homes all along the Front Range and Pikes Peak Region. We are brand new, established in April 2019, and we are an all volunteer organization. We are always in need of donations, either money, much needed dog items like dog beds, kennels, leashes, etc, and loving foster homes. If you can't provide any of these things, we are always in need of people that can help out at events and transport when the dogs come in. We look forward to hearing from you!!
