Gina is super and extrodinary. She is totally blind and had to have both eyes removed, but that does not slow this little 12 pound, Shih-tzu, down. She does not bump into things once she learns her environment and her other scenses keeps her on a straight path to you. She is very sweet and when she wants you to pick her up, she will stand on her hind legs.
Gina came to us from a herific hoarding case where the shelter rescued 46 dogs when the owner passed away. Paws for Seniors took in 7 seniors including Gina. To our surprise, all were very friendly and just wanted that love and individual attention.
Gina recieved her intake exam, Distemper and Rabies vaccinations, a microchip, and full bloodwork. She also recieved a dental and both her eyes had to be removed because of high pressures and glacoma. She is definately a Super Girl and when you pick her up and hug her you can feel all that love she has to give. She definately is not a "couch potato" as she would love to wander around a secure fenced yard, maybe with another dog her size. She would also enjoy a nice walk in the nieghborhood. Special Needs? I'm not so sure! Gina would need a special place, blocked from stairs and other hazards in your home. Once she learns her environment, she will surprise you on how she navigates around the house and yard.
