My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sparkles is MaltiPoo who is about 11 years old and weighs 9 lbs. She was rescued from a local shelter after her owners surrendered her after having her for 9 years. She definitely needed a groom. Sparkles has integrated wonderfully in her foster home and gets along great with the other dogs. She is a quiet girl but does get excited and noisy when it's time for food. Sparkles sleeps really well in her crate at night and doesn't make a sound. She seems to be used to a crate. Sparkles is friendly and likes people. She LOVES to be held. Please note that Sparkles HAS TO BE GROOMED on a regular basis and we do not recommend Sparkles to families with children under 5.

We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention.

All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
