My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Orbit" is the perfect name for this guy - he's sure to be the center of his forever family's universe! With his chocolate brown fur and mesmerizing light brown eyes, he definitely wins in the looks department! And he's got the personality to match; Orbit is sweet, quiet, submissive, and intelligent. He positively melts into your lap for pets, which are his favorite thing - given the choice of a toy or cuddling with you, he chooses YOU every time. Orbit loves to follow his foster mom around the house, and has quickly learned his place amongst the other dogs in his foster home. He intuitively goes into his crate for naps and relaxation, and already understands that pottying happens outside :) Orbit walks nicely on a leash (slightly behind you) and has shown no interest in the woodland creatures that will occasionally make appearances in the backyard. This stud is currently about 10 weeks old and weighs 22 lbs; we think he will weigh around 50 lbs as an adult.

Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.

Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.

Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
