My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Aubrey! I love people very much, though I am cautious at first, and would love my own people to love and follow around. When I see my human friends at Pawmetto, even when I haven't seen them in a while, I smile the biggest smile, wag my tail uncontrollably and start running to the door to greet you. It might take a few times to meet me for me to fully open up, but I know the right family will do that for me.
I get along with other dogs my size once introduced correctly. I am house and crate trained. I am extremely smart and my foster mom called me "Houdini" because I can get out of a locked crate! I am a couch potato if my human is sitting with me. But don't let me fool you, I love to run and play all of the other times! I will be a great companion dog for anyone. Please come and meet me to see if we are a match.

My adoption fee of $200 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?

Our adoptions are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY Tuesday through Saturday. Please complete an application online and you will be contacted if you are approved and a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.

More about this rescue

Pawmetto Lifeline, formerly Project Pet, was founded in 1999. Since the opening of our adoption, medical, and boarding facility in Spring 2012, we have been able to save more than 15,000 companion pets from euthanasia and gave them a new lease on life. We continue to strive toward the goal of a no-kill community and state through adoption, pet retention, rescue partnerships, and medical services.
